How we handle enquiry information

This notice explains what happens to the details you give when you contact Granite & Lime about painting or decorating work.

Who is responsible

Granite & Lime is the name used for this website. Omer Karatas is the business owner and your direct contact responsible for handling website enquiries and requests about your personal information. Contact Omer in Dublin, Ireland, at omer@graniteandlime.ie or 083 427 7556.

What we collect and why

• Details you type into the enquiry form: your name, area or neighbourhood, the work you describe, and the phone number and/or email address you choose to give.
• If you arrived from an online advertisement, the campaign details in the page address: source, medium, campaign name, search term, and Google's advertising click identifier ("gclid"). These are sent with your enquiry so we know which advertisement it came from. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
• Technical information that the form service records automatically when the form is sent: your IP address, an approximate location derived from it, and request details such as the date, time and browser.

We use this only to reply to your enquiry, discuss the work, arrange a visit if one is needed, prepare a quotation, and understand which advertising brings genuine enquiries. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to and measuring enquiries.

Who processes it for us

• Formspark (Trampoline Software SRL, Belgium) receives the enquiry form, screens it for spam and emails it to us. It acts as our processor under its data processing agreement and stores data in the European Economic Area (Ireland and Germany). Its own service providers are listed at formspark.io/legal/subprocessors.
• Microsoft 365, which hosts our business email.
• If you choose to call, use WhatsApp or write from your own email app, that service handles your message under its own terms.

We do not sell your information. This website does not use cookies, advertising pixels or analytics tracking.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry information for as long as necessary to respond and manage the enquiry. Records relating to agreed work may need to be retained for contractual, accounting or legal purposes. Contact Omer about your information at omer@graniteandlime.ie.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to its use, by contacting us at the address above. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
